The Island of IZ

The picturesque island of Iz is a big reef made of limestone. Iz offers beautiful beaches, fertile vineyards, olive-groves and luxuriant Mediterranean vegetation. There are two villages on the island, Veli Iz and Mali Iz. For centuries, inhabitants have been living as fisherman, olive-growers and potters. The potters use some very old techinques when making the pots. The real attraction is the final procedure of baking the pottery. In-season, a special workshop is organized for creating pottery, as well as for those who want to buy it.
